Important Queensland details for 2025
Australia Day fell on Sunday 26 January in 2025, so the public holiday was observed on Monday 27 January. The Brisbane Royal Queensland Show holiday was Wednesday 13 August and applied to the Brisbane area rather than the whole state.
Christmas Eve was a part-day public holiday from 6pm to midnight. Queensland's regional show holidays varied by local area and are separate from the statewide calendar.
